Chinook Winds is a home away from home for your canine companion. Our staff are dedicated to ensuring all of our guests have a safe, enjoyable stay. Trust us to provide quality care for your furry family members while they visit us as members of our Chinook Winds family.
At Chinook Winds, we pride ourselves on offering a safe and happy environment for every guest. With many years of experience in the pet care industry, you can rest assured that your canine companion will be in the safest, loving and caring hands. By offering accommodations for a small number of guests, we are able to provide your dog with lots of love and attention.
Chinook Winds is proudly run by Lee-Ann Hillier and Katie Manning. By having a small number of staff, we are able to build a close relationship with each of our guests - we often know them as well as you do! This also means that shy or nervous dogs have a much easier time learning to trust two new people rather than several who are rotating in and out all week.
Lee-Ann has been caring for dogs professionally since 2011, first out of her home before building the kennel and opening Chinook Winds in April 2015.
Katie joined the kennel shortly after opening in April 2015. She trains her dogs for several competitive sports such as Agility, Nosework, Rally, and Obedience.
Our Facility
Each of our guests are provided with their own 4'x4' kennel with controlled access to their own 4'x10' outdoor run which backs onto our spacious play yard. Our standard runs offer plenty of room for a single dog, or for two dogs up to 40lbs each.
We also have an extended 4'x8' kennel where we can provide shared accommodations for two dogs of any size, as well as two sets of 4'x4' kennels with a door in the adjoining wall to allow two dogs to freely move between two kennels. All kennels are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis by deposit and we cannot guarantee that two dogs will be able to share kennels until a deposit is placed.
